COMPAS aims to gain a detailed understanding of how the port and the city are linked in terms of their pollutant emissions, and what measures can be implemented to reduce the negative effects.

Detailed objectives:

• Supporting the integration of the air pollutant dispersion model between the Port and the City. To ensure that the air quality measurements and dispersion models developed by the Port and the City Council are robust, interoperable and useful for decision-making.
• Leading public and stakeholder engagement in Valencia, acting as a liaison with the public and local organisations that may be interested in the information and models developed within the project, thereby improving transparency.
• Supporting the development and adoption of policy recommendations, based on the project’s findings, which aim to improve the city’s air quality.
