As part of this project, we will organise training sessions to build the capacity of local stakeholders to tackle the growing problem of summer energy poverty. Various initiatives and projects are currently underway in the city of Valencia to tackle energy poverty. However, summer energy poverty falls outside the scope of our current approach, and we need to be equipped with the necessary skills and training to improve the measures we implement, as well as our strategy for tackling it at a local level.

On the one hand, at an operational and individual level, we want to be able to design specific materials, kits, guidance and workshops to tackle summer energy poverty amongst vulnerable households. On the other hand, we want to develop our capacity collectively to integrate this perspective into our projects and plans within the broader context of climate change adaptation.
